Subtle and powerful, scent is an invisible imprint that shapes our memories, our emotions and our perception of the world. From the delicate fragrance of the undergrowth after rain to the sweetness of a wisteria in bloom, from the sacred swirls of incense to the skilfully composed accords of a perfumer, the “Parfums de nature” invite us on a sensory and cultural immersion. Elusive yet deeply anchored in memory, they question our intimate ties with the environment and run through philosophy, science and art. They are a language in their own right, at once sensitive, symbolic and universal. The first Conversations sous l’arbre of 2025 offer an unprecedented journey in which science, history, art and imagination come together to restore the sense of smell to its rightful place, and to invite us to smell differently, more fully and more freely.
