HÔTEL DU BOIS DES CHAMBRES

A NATURALLY DIFFERENT HOTEL

Set into the landscape, Le Bois des Chambres has 39 rooms, a 50-cover restaurant with a terrace overlooking an ornamental pond, and two multi-purpose spaces. Its gardens are many, narrow and long, as if born of the successive divisions of a farming plot. Bordered by hedges or rows of espaliered trees, they host vegetable crops as well as fields of flowers or areas set aside for herbs. A place to live and recharge surrounded by nature, Le Bois des Chambres combines inventive forms, whether applied to the comfort of the stay, to the services offered or to respect for the environment.
Its modular rooms can accommodate groups. With poetic names, such as the alcoves and the chambres buissonnières, they offer worlds of refinement and simplicity. On the ground floor, dense, muted colours echo the dried-flower arrangements. Upstairs, white reveals the volumes of the cathedral ceilings. As in the theatre, curtains structure the spaces. Five cabins on stilts even let you sleep in the garden.
Poetic and rebellious, Le Bois des Chambres cultivates a creative spirit, encourages reading, cultural discovery and exchange, and resists any temptation to standardise emotions and sensations. No point looking for a television in the rooms. There isn’t one!

LE GRAND CHAUME RESTAURANT

SUSTAINABLE GASTRONOMY THAT DELIGHTS THE TASTE BUDS

Le Grand Chaume is a singular piece of architecture in the service of sustainable and exceptional gastronomy. Committed to produce in its natural state, it offers a surprising menu close to the banks of the Loire, embracing the Sologne, the Perche, the Brenne and the Beauce. It draws its inspiration from these rich terroirs and from the artistic utopia of the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire.
Set on the site of the farm’s former dwelling house, the restaurant welcomes lovers of fine, authentic cuisine in unexpected architecture and surroundings. Inspired both by the turrets of Renaissance châteaux and by the haystacks of the countryside, an immense thatched flower shelters a series of spaces opening onto the pond terrace, the farmyard or simply the landscape.
In resonance with the refinement celebrated for centuries by the Estate’s prestigious owners, the interior decoration rests on a constant dialogue with the incredible roof framework, left exposed and transformed into a true midnight-blue sky pierced by a myriad of white arrows, like so many comets frozen in a frantic race.
À la carte, the dishes cultivate a creativity at the service of a surprising and hearty cuisine. Drawing on the produce of the estate and of the region's terroirs, they set out to surprise the palate while respecting an environmental ethic. Indulgence and joy are virtues cultivated and honoured here. Meats and wines alike are chosen from regional producers.

LE GRAND VELUM RESTAURANT

CULINARY AND GASTRONOMIC CREATION WORKSHOP, A GOURMET EXPERIENCE IN THE COLOURS OF THE FESTIVAL

Set in an elegant, plant-filled greenhouse, Le Grand Velum is an unmissable venue at the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire. This workshop of culinary and gastronomic creation has called on the culinary designer François-Xavier Bogard to devise a menu linked to the theme of the International Garden Festival. So each year, regular visitors come to discover the colours and flavours showcased there. A gourmet experience that is always original.
